1 Day Central Canterbury Tour
Short on time or just want to see something a little different? This 1 day Central Canterbury tour packs in a range of riding opportunities and a variety of attractions, from visiting a private motorcycle collection to lunch at the spectacular Terrace Downs restaurant.
Total distance is around 220km but will vary depending on which options are chosen on the day.

This one day tour leaves our premises at 8.30 for a short hop up to Spring Lynne Motorcycles to view their private collection of motorcycles.
From there it’s up to Methven (a quick stop at the Blue Pub or various coffee shops), then on to the Rakaia Gorge.
It’s worth a stop to admire the scenery and to maybe take a jetboat trip for the adrenaline seekers.
After that we can head to Terrace Downs Golf Resort or carry straight on to the optional Mid Rock Farm Tour. After that we’re on shingle for approximately 20km until we come out on SH73.
If we haven’t done the farm tour there will be opportunity for a quick blast up SH73, the scenery if fab and the road full of fast sweeping bends – a taste of what New Zealand has to offer.
We come home via Horarata (a nice little cafe and earthquake damaged church!) then its on to Dunsandel for the quick ride back to base.

- Motorcycle Collection -$10pp donation.
- Morning Tea/Lunch Approx $25-50pp.
- Guide Fee $40pp.
- Motorcycle Hire – varies according to type of motorcycle.
Tours Depart on the Third Sunday of every month or any other days by arrangement. This is a great way to familiarize yourself with one of our hire bikes prior to a long trip, and we have accommodation available if you’d like to spend the night.
